The Scientific, Technological, and Commercial Programs
SPQRD will develop a broad base of activities in basic and applied R&D and establish an effective means of technology transfer and industrial incubation for the commercial exploitation of these technologies. The scientific program will focus on establishing a flexible and diverse research team guided by a broad range of opportunities. The technological program will focus on the mastery of the advanced competencies required to produce, control and monitor the scientific results.
The mission of the commercial program is to transfer the research results to partner corporations. The commercial program will assist partner corporations and staff to develop results into viable commercial products and firms. It will be supported through collaborative projects, hosting of corporate staff at SPQRD facilities, and progression of staff from SPQRD to advanced positions in ventures based on research results.
