Why CLIENT AID?
It is clear that attorneys are facing unprecedented liability for their client's behavior under the law. Verification of information
is not only a requirement under the law, it is essential for the economic well-being of attorneys that practice bankruptcy law.
Many attorneys practicing consumer bankruptcy are small or solo firms. The additional requirements (legally and prudently) place a
heavy burden on clients and your practice. Many attorneys are in the difficult position of:
increasing costs that will have to be passed on to clients already in financial distress;
additional demands on clients already stressed;
spending more (non-billable?) time assisting clients obtaining information; and
facing a diminished client base with emboldened creditors.
We want to help clients feel supported and informed through this process and we want help reduce the cost for client support to a manageable level.

Working with the consumer, we will provide:
List of personal property, valuations and budget (Sch A through J information);
Bank and financial account statements;
Tax transcripts and returns from previous 3 years;
Credit report;
Pay stubs for the previous 6 months; and
Insure client attends pre-filing credit counseling briefing and receives their certificate.
We estimate that it will take approximately 7-10 days to complete the process of obtaining and organizing the required documents and information once they receive The Bankruptcy Workbook. At that time, the consumer will be able provide you with a package that includes the information and supporting documentation necessary to prepare a bankruptcy petition under the law.
